We always consider upper or lower eyelid blepharoplasty to be our favorite “stealth” cosmetic procedure- you look like yourself, just better!
Many patients considering cosmetic procedures are concerned they will look unnatural and have that “operated look”. They may have seen aging celebrities and others that look almost unrecognizable or just plain weird when they see them on a late-night talk show or ad. This has not been the case with our patients. People find that after the procedure they look more rested, refreshed, and just a little bit better version of their preop self.
We see patients that have spent a fair amount of time and money on injectables, lasers, etc. to improve the sagging skin of the upper lids. While these procedures have their place, we haven’t seen anything that consistently and effectively gets rid of significant skin excess.
The procedure is short (under an hour in most cases), done in our office under a local anesthetic, is minimally painful, and has a short recovery time. It’s our most commonly performed cosmetic office procedure and works great for a wide variety of patients.
