Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is one of our most popular skin treatments. This quick procedure quickly removes the superficial layers of dead skin and stimulates the growth of new skin and collagen. The treatment will leave you looking great and feeling refreshed. This non-invasive (crystal-free) skin polishing treatment gently exfoliates the “micro layers” of dead skin, revealing younger, healthier-looking skin. The procedure also includes a customized mask and an oxygen plus ultrasonic treatment. This treatment results in virtually no downtime and patients can return to normal activities right away. As with many other “no downtime” skin rejuvenation techniques, a series of treatments may be required to achieve the desired effect.
Microdermabrasion Overview
Best Candidates
Although almost anyone will see some improvement after microdermabrasion, the best results are seen in those with mild to moderate skin changes that are the result of sun exposure and age.
Treatment Overview
While some systems utilize a pressurized stream of ultrafine sand or salt crystals to abrade the skin, we prefer crystal-free microdermabrasion. A probe tipped with abrasive diamonds is passed over the skin, removing the top layers of dead skin, which are captured using suction.
We improve our microdermabrasion treatments by applying a mask tailored to your skin type and administering oxygen and ultrasonic therapy to maximize the effect and leave you feeling refreshed and pampered. The treatment typically takes about an hour and you may return to regular activities right away.
Micro Peels
Micro Peel intensifies a microdermabrasion treatment by adding a chemical peel. This is a great way to boost your microdermabrasion and is also more cost-efficient than having the treatments individually.
Fast Fact
Over 8,000 microdermabrasion procedures were performed in the US last year.
